Membership of the Canning Arts Group

The Canning Arts Group membership entitles you to discount classes and workshops, use of facilities and equipment. Pottery wheels, kilns, framing equipment, easels, light box, literary resources and kitchen facilities are some of the many things available to members.

A monthly newsletter keeps members up to date with events and information within our group and the art world.

Our bi-monthly artist demonstrations are a chance to observe other artisans crafts and enjoy a light supper.

Exciting bus trips to artists studios and galleries are organized by the committee for members to participate in. These are conducted during school hours to allow for parents of school children to participate.

How to become a member

You can either be proposed by an existing member or provide two referees.

Download Membership Information and the application form for Probationary membership and call in to the Centre or fax or post it to us.

Probationary membership is for the period of three months. This still enables you to the use of equipment, however an in-service is required before you have use of some of the pieces. Please check with the co-ordinator for full information.

Rosters

Members are required to do a minimum of two rosters in every 12 month period. The group has Sale of Work and community displays at various venues, including the Art Centre.

Members who wish to place items for sale in the gift shop or gallery are required to do at least 2 to 4 rosters per year. A 20% commission on sales is deducted and paid to CAG.
